In Greece one of the top news stories is the grandmother who was arrested for stealing food from a supermarket to eat. A storm of reactions followed on social media, with twitter filled with people's protests, until the company was forced to announce that it would not take legal action against the grandmother.

A storm of reactions followed on social media, with twitter filled with people's protests, until the company was forced to announce that it would not take legal action against the grandmother. That's it in Greece.

In the US, a employee of supermarket Walmart, decided to quit in an impressive way. While the superstore was full of customers, she grabbed the cashier's microphone, and began listing her reasons for quitting the company.

In this case too, the power of social media was huge as the video was uploaded to Tik Tok and within minutes it went viral. Comments filled the employee's profile with people praising him for the way but mostly for the reasons he resigned, while some people attacked his colleagues who did not react as well.

The resignation

The video shows the supermarket employee wearing his uniform and hat. "I decided to quit Walmart today" he says in the video and continues: "I don't work for people who abuse someone with autism. Naperville Walmart is horrible."

And he continues: "Attention all Walmart employees and members of management. It has come to my attention that managers in the receiving department have no respect for their employees and prefer to hide behind the phones and say they are busy. They also like to make fun of employees with autism and do not respect any of the employees. Therefore, I am not going to continue to represent this company any longer, so I am leaving. Have a nice day"
