Russian President Vladimir Putin will approve Russia's response at the appropriate time, regarding the US and NATO responses to Russian proposals on security guarantees, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Timely," Peskov told TASS, asked when specifically Putin's approval of this response should be expected.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, the RIA news agency reported today, citing the Kremlin, has approved in principle the Foreign Ministry responses to the West on the security guarantees Moscow is seeking, citing Russian diplomats as finalizing the text of the responses.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov earlier suggested to Putin that Moscow pursue the diplomatic route in its efforts to extract security guarantees from the West as tensions soar over Ukraine.
