Two more resignations, a total of four in one day, of Johnson's top advisers They will remain in their posts until their replacements are found
Boris Johnson's two top advisers resigned from Downing Street on Thursday night, chief of staff Dan Rosenfield and the Prime Minister's chief private secretary Martin Reynolds.
Their resignations were expected, as they have been blamed to a greater or lesser extent for the lax enforcement of lockdown rules that allowed multiple parties to be held in Downing Street.[/B] Mr. Johnson had announced changes to the operating structure of the Prime Minister's Office in an attempt to reassure Conservative Party MPs alarmed by partygate.
Both Mr Rosenfield and Mr Reynolds will remain in their posts until their replacements are found.
Their resignations bring to four the number of top advisers to the British Prime Minister who announced his departure from Downing Street on Thursday, following the resignation of communications director Jack Doyle and the more vocal and unexpected resignation of Munira Mirza, head of policy at the prime minister's office and a close associate of Mr. Johnson since his time as mayor of London.
