"International fraudster", described witness Alexis Kougias, lawyer of the accused Dimitris Lignadis - "You have put goons and snitches",

In particularly high tones, the trial of Dimitris Lignadis continues today at the Mixed Jury Court of Athens. The tension between the opposing sides was such that the court was forced to adjourn for a short time in order to lower the tension.

First of all, during today's proceedings, the lawyer of Dimitris Lignadis, Alexis Kougias proceeded to comment on the testimony of the first witness, reiterating that he is an "international fraudster." Again, Kougias spoke of gaps and contradictions, noting that his client has sued the witness for false testimony, false statement and slander. Furthermore, the defendant's lawyer, again referring to a plot against his client, said that "the witness leads a luxurious life while he is unprofessional and this raises questions." Indeed, Kougias spoke of a "dictatorship of particularity".

Subsequently, the lawyer filed a statement of claim against a 27-year-old witness, stating that the statement is false for 19 reasons, including:

-The denunciation of the act under trial took place 10 or 11 years late (depending on the version), without any justification for this, since the complainant was not in a relationship of dependence on the accused. This delay has resulted in the complete impossibility of a forensic investigation of the case through the clinical examination of the plaintiff by a forensic doctor, the taking of blood and urine for toxicological tests and the collection of material from the body and clothing of the plaintiff for the purpose of finding epithelial or sperm cells and DNA testing, i.e. the only evidence that can scientifically substantiate the sexual act.

In court the plaintiff did not even want to declare his real professional status, since he stated that he was a prison officer in Sweden and, having a medical certificate of dubious validity, he left his job in Sweden on 04.12.2021 and moved to Dubai to an unknown address where he appears as an alleged real estate agent with a non-existent degree, no professional license with a suit that he just tried on and did not buy with a non-existent office and looking for great offers. He is also trying to set up a legal bidding company with Swedish residence permits and Swedish nationality.

While in his complaint he has claimed that when he arrived at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport there were no taxis because they were on strike, it has been proven that there was no taxi strike at that time (reply of the Secretary General of SATA). He claimed to the interrogator that he arrived at midnight and that is why there were no taxis, while the truth is that at the airport (especially in August when there is constant tourist traffic!) there are taxis 24 hours a day.

-The plaintiff claimed for the first time in the audience that, at the suggestion of the defendant, he made a modeling book in Egypt for a photographer taken by his (otherwise very conservative) parents and showed it to the defendant when he arrived in Athens. Except, however, from the Facebook messages that he provided, it emerged that after his return to Greece, namely on 04.09.2022, the defendant sent him an offer on Facebook to make this book in Greece.

During today's proceedings Mr Kougias and the prosecution counsel George Vlachos, (representing the first witness who testified against D. Lignadi) clashed on a personal level. However, the tension came to a head the moment Kougias mentioned that he knew the residence address of the first witness in Greece, with Mr. Vlachos reacting immediately.

The following dialogue took place in court:

G.Vlachos. Kougias: Record this in the minutes!
President: Please stop!
Vlachos: Don't distort reality, this is not TV here!
Kougias: Sit with Triantafylopoulos you...
Vlachos: Fuck the mantra and you!

Earlier, Mr. Vlachos, filed a request to review material seized from the defendant's entourage in order "for the jury to see the minors cuddling with the defendant in pornographic positions." Vlachos pointed out that these were electronic files, photographs and messaging records as well as an old telephone. The prosecutor reserved the right to respond to the request. The trial continues.

Finally, Mr. Vlachos produced an employment contract of his client as a prison officer in Sweden that expired on 28/2, as well as other documents that seemed to confirm what the witness claimed during the previous session.
