Regional cooperation on water, energy and food supply issues and the promotion of clean development in the Middle East was the subject of a three-day conference organised by Oxford University in Paphos.

Regional experts will contribute to framed discussions on water, energy and challenges facing the region, leading to potential ideas for applied and research projects convened by national and international partners, he said. The findings of the seminar are expected to be summarised in a publication to be jointly produced by Oxford and the participants.

The Mayor of Paphos said that the seminar is fully funded by Oxford University under the Oxford Martin Programme for Transboundary Resource Management, with additional support from the Wohl Clean Growth Alliance of the British Council.
