"To the prudent few" says Stefanou, recommending patience on the issue of the presidential elections

Patience has been recommended by the Secretary General of AKEL on the issue of the presidential elections, Stefanos Stefanou, asked today to comment on statements by party MP Irini Charalambidou that a candidacy of George Pamporidis cannot be AKEL's choice for the presidential elections.

Stefanou even invoked the ancient saying "tois prudent few".

"Everyone should be patient. We have procedures in the party that include the new forces. This thing has been clarified," he said.

He added that "since the leadership of the party and the party cadres are patient to have a discussion within the party, but also to have the discussion with the opposition forces that we would like to have a cooperation, in order to achieve the end of the ruling of the country by the Coalition and to have a progressive change, this covers everyone.

"So to the prudent few," he concluded.
