Thriller in Lavrion with the kidnapping and robbery of a well-known businessman of the southern suburbs. As protothema.gr reveals, a 24-year-old scion of a business family active in the clothing industry, was savagely attacked at midnight by the group of foreigners who grabbed him, threw him into a car and at gunpoint, told him that they would kill him and his family if he did not give them a ransom.

The victim, keeping his cool, took on the role of a negotiator, reduced the amount from 12,000 to 7,000 euros and, by giving the robbers a Rolex, managed to get out of this nightmare unscathed. Speaking to protothema.gr, he described the scene of horror a few minutes after 00:30 on Sunday.

At the same time, police officers, led by the victim's testimony, are trying to locate the blue Renault Megane used by the perpetrators to handcuff them.

The kidnapping and the negotiation

Starting the description of the wild scene, in protothema.gr, the 24-year-old businessman - owner of a well-known brand in the clothing industry, says that he considers it certain that his kidnappers and robbers were watching him for days. So, when at 12:30 he parked the fast Audi outside his house, they went to the final phase of their plan... "I think they were watching me days before and they had set me up. They seemed to know how I move, where I park and details of my daily routine. They weren't Greek. They knew a lot. About my father's vehicles, which they were apparently watching and knew he wasn't home and some details about our business. As soon as I parked my car outside the house, not two minutes had passed since I had parked, I saw a vehicle coming up the road from the opposite direction and stopping about ten metres above mine. I get out of the car and realize they are coming down as well. That something is going on. And before I can get into my house, I hear them yelling "Security" at me. I realize that something was wrong and before I could react, one of them grabbed me, pulled out a knife and the other grabbed me and they put me in the car where there was a third person."

The robbers went straight to the "point." As described by the victim, they initially demanded 12,000 euros. "They wanted money. They asked me for this amount but I told them that I didn't have it in the house and that I could give them less. I was negotiating for 15-20 minutes. And in the end I told them let's go and give you the money. They understood that I meant it. It was a given that I was going to give it to them so we could get it over with quickly. I felt scared, but once it happened and it happened to me, I tried to keep my composure to see what they wanted and get to the bottom of it. I went to my house, gave them 7,000 euros and a Rolex and they left. In my house I went in alone. Initially they wanted to come along but I was very persuasive and let them know they would get the money. I told them I would go get it and come back. I let them know that it was a given that I would come back and give it to them. I meant what I said. Wait here and you'll get the money. I gave it to them, they took it and left..."
