Note:
The numbers reported in the announcement are indicative and may vary based on final and updated data sent as part of the National Epidemiological Risk Report published every other Friday.
The change in the way daily results are reported has a dual purpose.
On the one hand, it simplifies the way in which the results were announced daily, so that they can be more easily understood by media workers and citizens On the other hand, no data have been removed from the announcement, apart from the analysis of inpatients per hospital (which will now be given in total for all hospitals), which is not considered necessary as it does not provide any substantial data in relation to the course and monitoring of the pandemic.
On the other hand, the tests carried out by population category are grouped together in order to draw more accurate conclusions from a scientific point of view.
For example, the weighting of the results and the positivity rate through the tracing process is different from the weighting of the results that are carried out every day and concern people who need a negative result for SafePass purposes.
In the same way, the positivity rate from the tests carried out in schools is of a different weighting from the other corresponding rates, since through this, a more correct monitoring of the situation in schools can be carried out.
On the basis of the above, a more accurate monitoring of the situation in schools is possible.
[P IT IS STRESSED THAT FURTHER CHANGES AND ADJUSTMENTS MAY BE MADE SUBSEQUENTLY AND DEPENDING ON THE DATA OBTAINED PER PHASE OF THE PANDEMIC.Contents of this article including associated images are belongs Cyprus Times
