According to the well-known British magazine Economist, Italy is "the country of the year" we leave behind.
"Italy has changed thanks to Mario Draghi, a prime minister who knows his job and is respected internationally," the magazine points out. At the same time, it writes that "if Draghi is elected president next February, the country's stability could be at risk" at a time when "the majority of politicians set aside any differences to support a programme of substantial reforms".
According to the Economist, "Italy is the country that has seen the biggest improvement this year" and it should not be ignored that "its vaccination rate is among the highest in Europe and its economy is recovering faster than that of Germany and France."
