In arrest of three persons[/B] was made today by the police after a search at a guesthouse in the area of Upper Polemidia and the detection of stolen property.
According to the Police, between the hours of 8 and 12 in the morning, members of the Limassol CID in cooperation with members of the Limassol OPE and YKAN conducted a search under a court warrant in a fenced field and outhouse in Pano Polemidia following information given to the Limassol CID that property that is the product of burglary and theft is hidden in this area[/B].[/B]
During the search conducted in the presence of 45-year-old, 27-year-old and 26-year-old, a large number of jewellery, fob, new intercom devices as well as a computer and other items were found were taken as evidence .
The three suspects did not give satisfactory explanations for the possession of the above and were arrested for the offence of unlawful possession of property.
Based on the description of the items, Limassol CID members called complainants whose homes had recently been broken into.
Two persons identified part of the above property as stolen from their homes which were broken into between 4/1-9/2/22 in the area, also in Polemidion.
The three suspects were re-arrested on court warrants and for the offence of housebreaking and theft.
[/P]Investigations by the authorities are continuing while the three suspects were taken into custody.
