The wife of the Paraguayan Olimpia defender was shot dead with a bullet in the head, Ivan Torres, at a concert in the city of Asunción.
Cristina Vita Aranda, a former model, was the mother of three children. The incident occurred at a concert, with the unfortunate woman, for an unknown reason, falling bloodied with a bullet to the head. She was taken to the hospital where she was simply pronounced dead.
According to local media, Torres, who was also at the concert, was the one who took his wife to the hospital.
Early indications are that Aranda was in the wrong place at the wrong time as the bullet was most likely "stray" and came from the VIP where there was a scuffle.
