In a statement to reporters after the meeting, Schinas said "I had a very nice conversation with the President about the broader situation in the region. The President is one of the most experienced leaders in the European Council, I don't need to brief him on much, because he knows a lot, and I leave very satisfied both from the great historic ceremony we had today with the Memorandum, but also from the meeting with the President, meetings that are always very very interesting."

Creative discussion with Vice President @EU_Commission @MargSchinas. I analyzed efforts to restart Cyprus & MoU process that can change the game. In addition, I am encouraged by Schinas' assurance that ?? will receive tangible support on migration. pic.twitter.com/tdhKWlOF2i
