Shock... The death of the little boy, just 17 months old in Limassol, has brought sadness to the whole of Cyprus.

The unfortunate baby passed away just before noon and while he was in a specially designed room in the home of a woman who was taking care of him in Limassol, while he was eating a slice of bread. According to the facts before the police, the woman gave the baby a slice of bread that his mother had put in front of him and cut it into pieces, as she claimed. Subsequently, while the child was eating, she realized that he started to choke and according to her claims, she tried to remove the bread from his mouth with her hands.

Police are investigating whether the woman -who is a kindergarten teacher was present during the whole time the child was eating[/B] or coming and going[/B], as we are informed that there were other babies in her house at the time that she was caring for.

Despite the woman's efforts, it seems that it was not possible to help the little boy. An ambulance was called and transported him unconscious to Limassol General Hospital.
