Another 8,120 deaths and 1.58 million coronavirus cases[/B] occurred worldwide yesterday according to the Worldometers website. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 now stands at 5,901.316 and 423,814,213 cases.
At the same time 348,859,779 people affected by the disease have recovered.
Of the active cases (69,053.118) 99.9% are mildly ill while 0.1% are in serious or critical condition.
The US holds the sad lead in cases and deaths with 959,130 deaths and 80,072,561 cases. It is followed by India with 42,822,473 incidents and 511,935 deaths, Brazil with 28,167,587 incidents and 643,938 deaths, France with 22,227,826 incidents and 136,594 deaths and the UK with 18,580.216 cases and 160.507 deaths.
