The discovery of a new deposit in Saturn 1 of the Cypriot EEZ combined with the prospects of finding another deposit in Jupiter creates a window of opportunity[/B], which the Republic of Cyprus should exploit on a longer-term economic and political horizon, Presidential candidate George Kolokasidis said in a written statement.

According to Kolokasidis, with the global energy crisis, there is an opportunity to secure the support of the European Union and other actors for rapid exploitation of the deposits without damaging the national issue. Kolokasidis questions whether there is determination to do so.
