The President of the Parliament met on Tuesday with the President, the Deputy Executive Director and the Communication Officer of the Youth Organization.
According to a statement by the Parliament, Ms Demetriou praised the work of the Youth Organization and stressed the need for young people to participate in decision-making processes on issues that concern them.
They also exchanged views and suggestions for joint actions and cooperation between the Parliament and the Youth Organisation, such as the evaluation, in the context of a special conference, of the legislation passed by the Parliament and concerning young people, so that the work produced and concerning them becomes known.
During the meeting it was also stressed that the main priority issues in this cooperation, as shown by the results of the quantitative survey of the 3rd Youth Barometer, should be employment, social stereotypes, sex education in schools, gender discrimination, bullying and mental health.
