The Presidency's announcement on the new occupant of the Foreign Ministry Anastasiades' decision following the resignation of Nicos Christodoulides
The resignation of Nicos Christodoulides from the Foreign Ministry in view of the decisions he will take and announce for the 2023 Presidential Elections, brings an old acquaintance to the composition of the Council of Ministers.
President Nicos Anastasiades, within a few lines, announced his chosen to take over the crucial Ministry of Foreign Affairs until the end of his administration. He expressed sadness at the resignation of Christodoulides, whom he thanked warmly for his service.
The new Foreign Minister, as has already been announced, is Ioannis Kasoulides.

The Presidency's announcement. I am particularly saddened by the resignation of Mr Nikos Christodoulides, who has been one of my close colleagues for many years.
Unfortunately, as developments have developed, I had no choice but to accept his resignation.
I thank him warmly for his service.
Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, with a successful and long service in this Ministry, will take over as the new Foreign Minister tomorrow.
