The Ports Authority's vision for green growth was discussed by the President of the PPA and the French Ambassador What the Authority says in a statement

The PPA's vision in relation to the implementation of the EU's objectives for green and sustainable growth and the blue economy, with emphasis on the port activities sector was discussed at a meeting between the Ambassador of France, Salina Grenet - Catalano and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Ports Authority, Dr. Antonis Stylianou, at the new port of Limassol.

According to a statement by the Ports Authority, the delegation of the Cyprus Ports Authority briefed the French Ambassador and her entourage on the upgraded role of the Authority and its operational and supervisory/regulatory perspectives, while the Ambassador referred to the close cooperation in areas of common interest with the Cyprus Ports Authority.

Issues concerning the further promotion of cooperation were also discussed, taking into account the fact that France currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In particular, it is added, issues concerning the vision of the Cyprus Ports Authority in relation to the implementation of the European Union's objectives for green and sustainable development and the blue economy, with emphasis on the port activities sector, were discussed.

In appreciation of the cooperation between the French Embassy and the Cyprus Ports Authority, the Cyprus Ports Authority honoured the French Ambassador to Cyprus with commemorative gifts.

According to the Ports Authority, the two sides renewed their commitment to upgrade their cooperation and strengthen their relations.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Ports Authority by the Director General, Anthimos Christodoulides and the Director of the Limassol Port Authority, Panagiotis Agathokleous.
