On the occasion of the New Year, the Democratic Rally extends its heartfelt wishes to the entire Cypriot people for health, prosperity, progress and the fulfilment of their aspirations and expectations.
As he notes, the new year will be a year of challenges that require, as we have stated on every occasion, above all political will to make changes and reforms in order to overcome everything that keeps us stuck in the past and to open new promising horizons for our country. To create the conditions that will build a new model of development for a real, modern European state, giving equal opportunities to all without discrimination.
But the greatest challenge remains our national issue, for the resolution of which our struggle will continue to be tireless. For refugees who are still waiting for the day of return, the interned who are patiently enduring oppression, the relatives of the missing who are living the drama of finding out the fate of their loved ones. We are fighting and will continue to fight for a free Cyprus.
