After about 7 hours, the negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia have been completed.

According to both Russian and Ukrainian state media, the negotiations between the delegations of the two countries in the Gomel region of Belarus have been concluded.

So far no further information has been released on whether any kind of agreement has been reached between the two sides.



A new round of negotiations will follow

According to the adviser to the head of Ukraine's presidential office, the two delegations will leave for their capitals for consultations, followed by a new round of negotiations.

At the same time, it was reported that the two sides have identified a number of priority issues, and have set out a list of possible solutions.

According to information reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Moscow and Kiev negotiators will return to their bases in order to brief their political leaders, receive further instructions and proceed to a second round of talks "in the near future".
