[B-4]In a meeting today between the President of the CIOED, Dimitris Demetriou and the Minister of Finance, Constantinos Petrides, a first discussion was held on the role and future of online media and possible ways to support the online media sector in Cyprus with a rational approach.[B-5][B-6][B-6][B-5][B-6] As KODD informs, the importance of quality online information was discussed with the Minister of Finance in order for citizens to receive essential, correct and comprehensive information in a world that changes daily and the internet is the present and future of information.[B-7][B-8]"It was agreed during the meeting that the dialogue should continue for the benefit of clear, accurate and timely online journalism, always respecting the truth and the citizens" as stated by the COED.[B-9]
