The first six Rafale fighter jets, which the country has purchased from France, arrive in Greece today.

The aircraft will land at noon on Wednesday at the 114th Combat Wing in Tanagra, having previously performed a symbolic flight in a closed formation over Acropolis.

The handover ceremony at the Tanagra base will be attended by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, National Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos and Chief of the General Staff Konstantinos Floros.

The six Rafale aircraft will be operated by Greek pilots who were trained in France. The fighter jets that will arrive in Tanagra today are the first of a total of 24 that Greece will receive from France.
