The "minister of economy and energy", Sunat Atoun, denied the information about the transfer of LPG from the free areas to the occupied territories.
According to the GMP, he said that the claims that have come to light about buying LPG from the "south" because it is cheaper, which is then sold in the occupied territories, are false and do not correspond to reality.
In 2017, he said, 31 LPG was imported, he said.000 tons but last year the quantity dropped to 29,000 tons, adding that while there was a decrease in annual consumption, shortages were created and this is the difficulty they are facing.
He claimed that he has convened a meeting with all stakeholders on the issue, saying that they suggested that the "development bank" should grant a loan to the companies to purchase more LPG.
He also explained that the problem is not focused on the stocks of LPG, but stems from the delays of ships carrying LPG.
