The Department of Agriculture has begun recording damage due to weather conditions On-site officials

They immediately went to the weather-affected areas to record all damages and activate the National Framework for support of the affected farmers by officials of the Department of Agriculture.

In a statement transmitted by the GMP, it is stated that due to the severe weather phenomena observed in recent days, damage to farms of plant production, mainly citrus fruits, potatoes and vegetables, was found throughout the territory of the free areas of the island.

"With the aim of addressing the situation as quickly as possible, officials of the Department of Agriculture went immediately to the affected areas to record all the damage and activate the National Framework for support to affected farmers," it added.

The Ministry of Agriculture, assures that "recognizing the problems caused by the severe weather phenomena of recent days, stands beside our rural world and actively supports our farmers and livestock farmers in order to ensure the viability of their farms".
