The Chemistry Department A is ready to prove in a scientifically documented way the correctness of the results conducted on the two specific players of AEK Larnaca.Following the statement issued by the Board of Directors of AEK Larnaca, which referred to an error in the laboratory test results of two players of the team, the Chemistry Department is back on the offensive and is calling for an investigation by the Ministry of Health.

After the announcement issued by the Board of Directors of AEK Larnaca, the Chemistry Department is back on the offensive and is demanding an investigation by the Ministry of Health.

Specifically, it states that the two players that "The A.EVANGELOU Chemistry Department is able to prove in a scientifically substantiated manner the correctness of the results that it has carried out on the two players in question, who came along with a number of other players on 03/01/22, as well as the results of a laboratory test repeated by one of the two players mentioned above on 05/01/22".

Calling the conduct by the AEK Board of Directors unfair and scientifically undocumented is very unfair. It goes on to say that the Ministry of Health has been asked to conduct an in-depth investigation of all laboratories involved in the repeated analyses of the players in question.

"We also request that these individuals be tested for two specific antibodies 1. Nucleocapsid Phosphoprotein and 2. Acid Subunit S1 protein using Western Blot technology three to four weeks after the identification of the Covid-19 positive result. Please be informed that we are the only accredited molecular testing laboratory for the performance of Sars - Cov2 in Larnaca and Famagusta province with ISO 15189:2012 and therefore the Protocols we follow for each test are very strict and specific, thus offering the highest and most valid quality of laboratory results".

He concludes by stating that they are convinced that "in the end, the truth will shine through and the AEK management will realize the error they made regarding the results our laboratory came up with. We have full confidence and are confident that the Ministry of Health will do its duty to the fullest and impartially. The A.EVANGELOU Chemistry Department reserves its legal rights."
