The case of the gynecologist from Limassol for an operation that she registered in the system that she performed is currently at the Legal Service for study and further proceedings, while according to the complaint it was not done, while the recent case of a doctor from Nicosia who registered in the system that he administered injections to his patients, while the complaint states that he did not perform this act, is before the Court, Police Spokesman Christos Andreou told CNA.

As Mr. Andreou, "the case of the Limassol doctor who registered in the system an operation on a 72-year-old woman that she did not eventually have, is at the Legal Service for study and further instructions as to its adjudication before the judiciary."
Moreover, he noted that the recent case against a Nicosia doctor for false representations, in relation to administering injections to his patients, was registered in Court.
The complaints against the private healthcare professional were made by patients who complained to the OAI that the doctor in question entered a fictitious number of specific health care services in their GHS portion, according to the Legal Service.
