[CYPRUS TIMES] The 51-year-old woman posing as a lawyer in Serres defrauded 87 people, extorted over 268,000 euros

The woman has been held in Korydallos prison since last summer The list of victims who have been deceived since 2008 is growing

In the revelation that the 51-year-old domestic woman, who has been held since August 2021 in Korydallos prison, defrauded an additional 31 people together with her 69-year-old accomplice, the Public Security Office of the Serres Security Sub-Directorate[/B], raising the total number of victims to 87.

The 51-year-old national, who was initially arrested in Serres for the crime of fraud, was found that from 2008 until August 2021 when she was "caught", sometimes pretending to be a lawyer and other times the high official of the State Revenue Service, managed to extract together with her accomplice from the victims, a total amount of 268.167 euros.

"Offering" allegedly services of dispute resolution, closing books at the tax office, debt settlement, and even issuing credit certificates, which could easily be issued by the gov.gr, the 51-year-old woman, together with her accomplice, whose details were identified and included in the case file, committed a total of 56 frauds and one attempted fraud against various citizens in the last four years.
