The test to stay in security forces should not be mandatory, says KAS-ASDYK What it says in a statement

The "test to stay" measure should not be mandatory in security forces says the Police Corps Branch (KAS) of the Independent Guild of Cyprus Public Servants (ASDYK) in a statement, noting that in cases where it will be applied, it must include all declared contacts, regardless of each individual's vaccination history.

ASDYK and KAS ASDYK state that they maintain their reservations about this measure and invite the Minister of Health and other relevant parties to a dialogue, in order to assist the functionality and practicality of the implementation of the measures.

The tests to be carried out under the "test to stay" measure, it is added, should be free of charge for all members of the Police and Fire Brigade.

We hope to cooperate with the competent authorities in order to achieve the most effective possible arrangement that will serve the employees of the Security Forces and, by extension, society as a whole, the statement concludes.
