Control centers for "test to stay" and in high schools from tomorrow - Will be checked before entering the classroom contacts of cases - Satisfied the OELMEK as it will not be required the involvement of teachers
The differentiation of the implementation of the measure "test to stay" without requiring the involvement of teachers in the process of testing students, was put on the agenda during the meeting of the Minister of Health, Michael Hadjipandela, with the OELMEK.
Speaking to the Cyprus Times, Themis Polyviou of the OELMEK said that the meeting left teachers satisfied as it was made clear that there will be no involvement of teachers in the "test to stay" process, something they had been asking for from the beginning.
He also noted that parents of children who are case contacts will optionally take their children to testing centers in high schools to be determined to be tested before they go to their classes.
Polyviou said a new meeting will be held next Monday with educational organizations, organized parents and the Ministry of Health to evaluate the "test to stay" measure.
Mobile units will be sent to schools in rural areas to avoid inconvenience to pupils.
