With the Omicron mutation advancing in Cyprus and schools reopening normally, with a physical presence from Monday the 10th, the Ministry of Health continues to plan for the vaccination of the child population.

As part of efforts to better serve parents/guardians and especially children aged 5-11 years, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Cyprus Paediatric Society is proceeding with the operation of large vaccination centres.


  • Today, 8 January 2022, the vaccination centre at the Spyros Kyprianou Sports Centre - point A' will serve only children aged 5-11 years (walk in and appointments through the vaccination portal).

Time: 08:00 - 14:00


  • On 15 January 2022, a vaccination centre will open at the Mountain Communities Development Commissioner's office in Trimiklini to serve children aged 5-11 years.

As a reminder, vaccinations for children aged 5-11 years old continue as normal at the vaccination centres below in all districts, from 8 am to 2 pm, by appointment only.

It is reminded that for the vaccination of children, a consent form signed by both parents and a birth certificate or identity card of the child must be presented.



Incentives at the State Fair Center

Meanwhile, protests continued yesterday over long queues at the vaccination centre located at the State Fair in Nicosia, forcing the Ministry of Health to send reinforcements. Specifically, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, the centre at the State Fair site was reinforced with another 10 people in order to serve the public rushing for vaccinations.

As mentioned in yesterday's article, queues were observed both for scheduled appointments and at the walk in.
