The war in Ukraine is in its 14th day and as Russia encircles Kiev, an emergency message with instructions came to the mobile phones of the citizens of the Ukrainian capital.
As reported by Open correspondent Christos Nikolaidis, who is in Kiev, the text message read, among other things: "Prepare a baggage with minimal clothing and food. Have an identity card or passport. Pack your children so that each one has a piece of paper with name, surname and emergency phone number. Be careful and do not approach doors and windows. If you hear banging, seek protection in a shelter."
