Six in ten Britons believe Johnson will not be prime minister until late 2022 Growing anger in Britain after revelations of gatherings in Downing Street during a pandemic
Most adults in Britain think it is likely that Boris Johnson will not be prime minister until the end of 2022, according to a poll released today by Ipsos Mori.
Growing popular anger over revelations that government officials attended rallies and parties when Britain was under lockdown last year has raised doubts about Johnson's authority within his Conservative Party.
Six in 10 respondents believe Johnson will not be prime minister by the end of next year, according to the poll.
The UK's Guardian newspaper yesterday, Sunday, published a photo showing Johnson and more than 12 other people drinking wine in the garden of the Prime Minister's residence in Downing Street which it said was taken during an anti-COVID-19 lockdown in May 2020.
At the time, the government had told citizens that they could only meet one person in an outdoor public space, keeping a distance of two metres.
