Eleni Radou's shocking post on the explosion of violence against women "Shut up lady. It's our fault for killing you next"

Eleni Radou today witnessed an incident that largely explains what has been happening lately in Greek society, with the explosion of violence against women, sexist attitudes and sexual crimes.

In fact, she even wanted to share that fact with her online friends, going on a lengthy Facebook post.

"Today I found myself walking down the street and I heard a lady arguing intensely on the phone. A guy overhears her walking by and monologues: 'Shut up lady. Is it our fault next for killing you?' Some passers-by laughed. They thought it was funny!

And I went on my way thinking about all this explosion of violence against women that by the time we get high on murder, extortion or illegal acts, thousands of small subtle rapes have preceded each one, thousands of sexist behaviors that are not only not punished but rewarded.

Many times even by the women themselves. These small daily moments of violence that have in them deep underestimation and enormous fear of losing control at the hands of men. The gentleman in the spear may not have committed murder, rape or blackmail, but it brought me the same repulsive feeling."
