The young girl describes the adventure she had when she agreed to make a video with her partner in private moments and after they broke up, he distributed it so that it was uploaded on a pornography site. As she tells the newspaper Peloponnisos, she was being pointed at on the streets of Patras and laughed at. The 24-year-old even describes that she came to the point of wanting to commit suicide, unable to bear the humiliation.
"I had gone to Santorini for a season for work and there I met a boy. We worked in the same shop and had a relationship. He lived in Athens and I lived in Patras, so after the summer, we continued our long-distance relationship. When we were in Athens on weekends, he booked a room in a hotel, with mirrors, jacuzzi, etc., which seemed very strange to me. We never went out as a couple, he always booked hotels for us to have sex. After some time, he asked me to make some videos! I wasn't even suspicious that anything could happen. Blinded and in love, I told him "okay, let's take it off", it was unbeknownst to me. I knew it. I just told him, when he took it off, to turn it off. "Yes," he said, "I'll turn it off. We took 3 videos and I was left with the certainty that he had erased them from his phone. After some time, we broke up. A month later, a kid texts me, says "I have a video that...", sends me the video and says "do you know the video is all over Patras? Over 300 people have it!". I lost the ground under my feet, you can't imagine what happened to me. I didn't know what to do. This acquaintance told me that two other videos had been leaked, he said "I was sent it, I can't tell you by whom!"
As the 24-year-old young woman described, she had been depressed for 3 months. She wouldn't even leave her house, She thought everyone recognized her and looked at her: "The bullying I received on social can't be described, I would get a message every three and a bit from the most ignorant person saying obscene things; I would walk down the street and see people I knew pointing fingers and laughing. I would sit and cry, I would break down crying. And my boss at the time they would send him the videos in messages and tell him that "...the one you have in there did such and such." My family found out, my mother found out, my father found out. I sued. After a while these videos were also uploaded on porn sites, so I also contacted the cybercrime squad. Every time someone uploaded the video, the DEA would take it down, but after a while someone else would upload it and so on. I tried to kill myself and my mother stopped me. I was in a very bad state, I couldn't go anywhere. I was walking down the street in Patras and everyone was looking at me. They are still talking about it now!"
Fortunately, the 24-year-old had the support of her own people, as well as her doctor and partner in Patras. A man with a big heart, as was evident in the case of the young woman.
