With the imposition of two restrictive conditions, the kindergarten teacher accused of molesting a four-year-old boy in Petrograd was released after pleading guilty today before an interrogator. The accused was given the conditions of being banned from leaving the country and prohibited from approaching the kindergarten where the incident allegedly took place.

During his plea, the accused reportedly denied the charges against him.

What had preceded

The boy, after the complaint, was forensically examined at the child safety care unit at Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital, genetic material was taken from the offending areas, and the underwear he was wearing when the kindergarten teacher allegedly sexually assaulted him was handed over.

"He is in custody. He's been there since the beginning of the year... Because his (the 4-year-old's) teacher has been away for two days now, he kept them... I went straight (to the authorities). I called the Children's Smile, I told them how to proceed, they said go directly, make a complaint to the department and if you can make a complaint to the Primary Education. I did the procedures, we went to the station... They came by the school on Friday and arrested him. And from what I understand, they have him... he's in... in self-incrimination proceedings," the father of the 4-year-old had said.

"He took the child to a forensic doctor, examined him, yesterday we went to a child psychologist, again, to talk to him... the little boy told everyone... everywhere we've been he's told everything. Thank God. For his age we were told that he is very mature... He could have said it already... He could have done it to him... He could have done it all the time afterwards," the child's father said.

The accused's side speaks of a war of impressions

The

attorney

for the accused kindergarten teacher, Efi C. Lakmeta, pointed out that this is a war of impressions on the part of the family of the juvenile that has taken on anthropophagic proportions in recent hours.

What was filed by the child's parents is

false and has been refuted from the first day based on the forensic report conducted in a preliminary investigation under the supervision of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Based on this finding, there was no evidence (let alone proof) of sexual violence or harassment of any kind to the minor.
