End of scenario Biden will not go to Kiev The US President will travel to the Old Continent the day after Wednesday This will be his third trip to Europe since assuming the presidency in January 2021

The US presidency has sought to put an end to speculation that Joe Biden will visit Ukraine during his trip to Europe this week.

"The trip will be focused on continuing our efforts to rally the world in support of the Ukrainian people and against (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's invasion of Ukraine," however "no trip to Ukraine is planned," White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki assured via Twitter.

In a press release issued by Ms Psaki, she confirmed that the US president will visit Poland following meetings in Brussels.

The US ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, in turn told the CNN television network that the possibility of the US head of state going to Ukraine has not even been discussed to her knowledge. She recalled that Washington has issued a travel directive to Americans urging them not to visit this "war-torn country."

Joe Biden will travel to the Old Continent the day after Wednesday. It will be his third trip to Europe since assuming the presidency in January 2021.

On Thursday, he is scheduled to attend special NATO, EU and G7 meetings in Brussels, according to his office. On Friday, he will be in Warsaw, where he will hold bilateral talks with his Polish counterpart Andrei Duda.

The US president "will discuss how the US, alongside its allies and partners, is responding to the humanitarian and human rights crisis created by Russia's unjustified and unprovoked war against Ukraine," Psaki said in a press release.
