Santa Run Nicosia participants shared children's smiles

There was a great response from the public at Santa Run Nicosia, as hundreds of runners and non-runners walked, ran and cycled for the children with cancer of the Hope Foundation.

RunNicosia organized for another year the charity running event "Santa Run" on December 26, 2021, with main sponsor Infocredit Group, and other city organizations.

According to a statement, the participants of the event, starting from various parts of Nicosia, arrived at Makarios Hospital, dressed as Santa Claus in red shirts, where they sang carols to children fighting cancer.

Then, they continued their march through the streets of old Nicosia, stopping at Faneromeni Square for hot wine offered by the Shopkeepers Association of Ledra and Onasagorou, at Eleftherias Square via Onasagorou Street and finally at Makarios Avenue where they were offered hot soup and drinks to the music of the Tanglatino band.

The aim of the event, it is noted, was to financially support the Elpida Foundation, which supports "every child to emerge victorious from this cruel ordeal and never again allow cancer to steal the life of any child".

All net proceeds from entries and corporate contributions were donated to the Elpida Foundation.

Please note that those interested can still make a contribution to the fundraising account. The fundraiser ends on January 4, 2022.
