The journalist Pambos Vassilas passed away today
Journalist Pambos Vassilas passed away today at the age of 50.
The deceased served journalism in Cyprus for more than 25 years. Until his death, he was a correspondent in Larnaca and the free province of Famagusta for the newspaper "Phileleftheros", and had also worked for other newspapers.
Pambos Vassilas was a refugee from Achna, residing in Dasaki of Achna and recently he was admitted to the hospital with health problems.
Yesterday Tuesday, December 28 he underwent a lengthy open-heart surgery, but unfortunately he did not make it.
The deceased is survived by a daughter, mother, siblings, relatives and leaves an unfulfilled void for the friends and colleagues he worked with.
The funeral will be held on Friday 31 December 2021 at 11 am at the Church of St. Marina and Archangel Michael in Dasaki, Achna.
The Cyprus News Agency and the entire journalistic family express their sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.
