Electric mobility is evolving rapidly and companies are constantly looking for innovative technologies that will make our lives easier.

Recently, the British company Char.gy started intensive tests to charge electric cars without wires or on the move. It placed inductive chargers on the roadside where they can wirelessly charge an electric car on the move. At the same time, it can also charge a car in a parking space without the driver having to use the charging cable.

To test this new way of charging, the company chose Renault cars, in particular ten Renault Zoe cars. A choice that was not made by chance since for more than 10 years, Renault has put electric mobility at the heart of its vision of sustainable mobility for all. The company's aim is to make the electric experience and driving pleasure accessible to as many people as possible. An expertise gained from electric vehicles and Formula 1 and has been the subject of more than 150 patents.

The ten Renault Zoes are owned by a rental company and testing is taking place in the Buckinghamshire area of the UK where a charger has been installed in a car park. Tests will follow at nine other locations in this area with the first data from the research already being analysed by students and university professors.
