No new relaxations will be discussed at Monday's meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Vaccination for the 4th dose

No new relaxations of the restrictive measures against the spread of coronavirus will be discussed at the next meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), according to KYPE.

The regular meeting of the SSC will be held next Monday, at 16:00, during which the new data recorded in Cyprus and internationally, regarding the increase in cases of the spread of the Omicron variant will be assessed.

According to reliable sources, the meeting will assess the epidemiological picture of Cyprus so far, while recommendations on the next steps of the government will be put on the table.

So far, however, experts have not submitted any recommendation to the Health Minister for new relaxations, since, as CNA has been informed, they believe it is relatively early to make further changes, since the last ones were implemented only last week.

On Monday, the National Vaccination Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on the 4th dose

In addition, on the same day, the National Vaccination Advisory Committee, headed by Health Ministry Director General Dr. Christina Giannakis, will also meet to discuss the administration of the 4th dose of vaccine to immunocompromised persons.

According to a reliable source, the issue will also be discussed in the SCC, which, however, will await the decisions of the National Advisory Committee on Vaccination.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Michalis Hadjipantelas, will be in Istanbul next week, with the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday in his absence.

However, the recommendation to include kindergarten students in the test to stay plan will be taken to the Cabinet meeting by Education Minister Prodromos Prodromos
