The Health Services announced the recall of organic juices Roter Rabenhorster Bio (Organic Red Grape Juice with iron) 750ml and Rotbackchen klassik/ Original Bio 750ml from the Community and Cypriot market because they were found to contain the unauthorised substance, ethylene oxide, in breach of European legislation.
The Health Services, after stating that they have received relevant information through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), add that they have already informed the food business distributing the products in question in the Cypriot market, with instructions for an immediate recall/withdrawal of all quantities of these batches.
They further specify that since some quantity of the batches in question may already be in the possession of consumers, they are advised to avoid consuming them and if they wish to return them to the places where they have purchased them.
