Reaction of "supreme court" to UNSC resolution on UNFICYP

The "foreign ministry" in the occupied territories said that the resolution adopted by the UN Security Council on UNFICYP is a violation of principles and rules by not obtaining the consent of the pseudo-state[/QUOTE]

The "foreign ministry" in the occupied territories issued a written statement on Thursday.

The failure to obtain the consent of the pseudo-state "to extend the mandate of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force constitutes a violation of UN principles and rules," the "suplex" claims, which adds that "the UN's own disregard of the guiding principle of seeking the consent of all sides, which is the basis of peacekeeping operations, undermines the authority of the UN".

On the grounds that the Peacekeeping Force is operating in the occupied territories with the consent of the T/C leadership, the "supermax" claims that there is a need for "a legal framework" to be agreed by the Pseudo-state and the UN. "Due to the fact that all our proposals on this issue remain unanswered, we have no choice but to take the necessary measures," it says.

It reiterates its well-known opposition to the bizonal, bicommunal federal solution (BCC) and the position that insistence on the BCC on the one hand "traps" the TCs in a never-ending process and international isolation, and on the other hand prevents the achievement of an agreement with the consent of all sides.

Regarding Varosha, the "suplex" claims that the area belongs to the pseudo-state, whose goal on this issue is to address "the claims of the E/C through the Property Commission (PC), which operates within the framework of the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), including the [OPTION OF] return".

On the issue of the Eastern Mediterranean, the "suplex" claims that the tension in the region is caused by the actions of the Greek side. In the statement, it criticizes the UN in this area as well and also contains the following allegations: "In addition to the strengthening of heavy weapons positions and the purchase of military equipment deployed along the border and in the neutral zone, the military exercises carried out by the Greek side in the Eastern Mediterranean are some of the well-known examples of the policy of the Greek side towards the escalation of tensions. It is also clear that unilateral activities regarding the natural resources in which the TCs are partners threaten security and stability."

Finally, the "suprax" asks the UN to stop treating the Greek side as the side representing the entire island, in which , it claims, there are "two sovereign equal states and two peoples."
