New outbreak with 28,828 cases in one day in Greece 72 deaths 620 intubated
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 28,828, of which 19 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,134,713 (daily change +2.6%), of which 50.4% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 215 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1.488 are associated with an already known case.
The ?? for the territory based on cases is estimated at 1.27 (95% CI: 1.09 - 1.45)

New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 72, with a total of 20,636 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 620 (60.6% male). Their median age is 63 years. 80.2% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 529 (85.32%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 91 (14.68%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,745 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 413 (daily change +21.47%). The seven-day average admission rate is 330 patients.
The median age of cases is 37 years (range 0.2 to 110 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
