It will be recalled that on February 2, the CUP Sports Judge imposed a fine of 50 thousand euros on Ermis Aradippou for suspicious betting activity in the Cup match against Union Youth of Paralimni Youth[/B], which took place on January 19.
The UEFA decision even mentions specific footballers who participated and played a key role in the manipulation of the match.
Police on the "ear" for instructions...
The authorities are awaiting instructions from the Legal Service to investigate a manipulated match.
Speaking to the Cyprus Times, police spokesman Christos Andreou noted that the police have not received any such instructions so far for any match.
"In such cases the practice is for the sports ethics committee to go to the Legal Service and if criminal offences arise then instructions are given to the police to investigate," he said."
As Andreou said, the police are ready if criminal offences arise to investigate the case as they always do.

I would like to emphasize that all the players that make up Cyprus Football should finally be, take all necessary actions to combat the phenomenon of football match manipulation, which inevitably irreparably damages the credibility of both the Cypriot league and the teams themselves, which are the backbone of Cypriot football.
I call on the state and the competent police authorities to thoroughly investigate this report of UEFA and assign responsibilities where appropriate in order to protect the football product of Cyprus, whose credibility is damaged by such phenomena.
