Police investigate new case of illegal casino gambling Police raid on casino in Famagusta District

New case of illegal casino gambling, is being investigated by the Police, following an investigation conducted today by members of the Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting Crime Branch, the Electronic Crime Sub-Division and the OPE and TAE of Famagusta, at an establishment in Famagusta district.

Specifically, after evaluating information about illegal gambling casino games, provided through online direct connection, the members of the Police, with a court warrant, conducted a search at the establishment in free Famagusta, in the presence of the manager of the establishment. During the search, seven computers were found, which, after a preliminary check, were suspected of being used for illegal casino gambling services.

The computers were seized for forensic examination by members of the Electronic Crime Sub-Division.

The examinations are being continued by the Ayia Napa Police Station.
