A coordinated operation to police the community of Chloraka took place yesterday from 5pm, until midnight, which was attended by members of the Paphos Police Directorate, the PAPD, the PAPD Headquarters and the Airport Security Directorate (ASA).
During the operation, a check was carried out at an apartment complex in Chloraka, for violations of the ordinance concerning the settlement of international protection applicants in that community. There, 12 persons were found to be residing in violation of the decree and after being charged in writing, they were released to be summoned later.
A total of 372 vehicles were also stopped, of which 125 were searched, as well as 194 persons, and 29 traffic complaints were made.
