In free Famagusta for the second round of the 2022 Rally Championship
With four crews, Petrolina Racing Team will once again give its dynamic presence in the East Safari Rally 2022, the second round of the Pancyprian Rally Championship 2022, which will be held on the weekend of March 12-13 in the free area of Famagusta.
The East Safari Rally 2022 is organised by the Famagusta Racing Car Association, under the auspices of the Cyprus Automobile Federation and stands out for the high speeds of the special stages, which makes this race an attraction for crews. Indicatively, this year's race has attracted 37 entries.
Last year's champion and winner of the first race of the Pancyprian Rally Championship 2022, Simos Galatariotis with Antonis Ioannou as co-driver and a VW Polo GTI R5 car will compete in the colours of Petrolina Racing Team, Panagiotis Yiagou with Aristo Nikolaou and Hyundai i20 R5, Christos Demosthenous and Cyprus Christodoulou with Skoda Fabia R5 as well as Sofianos Roussou and Andreas Giannakou, who will race with Mitsubishi Lancer EVOX.
The race consists of ten special stages with a total distance of 85.69 kilometres. The start will take place on Saturday, March 12 at 13:00 at the parking area of the Tasos Markos Stadium in Paralimni, while the finish of the race on Sunday, March 13 will take place at the Achna Speedway.
Petrolina, with its long-standing support to sports, through the dynamic presence of the Petrolina Racing Team, also plays a leading role in motor sports.
