Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria sends a message of strength and hope to Cyprus

"Courage, strength and hope", Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa wished all the Cypriot people in his Christmas message from Cairo.

"I don't want to prophesy but I sense that 2022 will be the year for our Cyprus. Something tells me in my heart that everything will go well because you finally deserve it, because you have fought for it with blood and sweat for so many years," the Alexandrian Primate said.

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Africa conveyed greetings from the leaders of the continent of Africa's future whom he met and conversed with in 2021, saying that "everyone had a beautiful word to say about the blessed island". He also addressed the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, wishing "all your people the blessing of God. Go ahead! Go ahead! God sees and renders justice."

Addressing Archbishop Chrysostomos, Patriarch Theodoros said that "you are not only the brother who follows our missionary course. You are the solid leader who helps the Patriarchates. You show it. And that is why I would like from this position to wish you health and joy."

Patriarch Theodore did not fail to mention the thousands of Cypriot expatriates who are particularly in Africa, noting that Christmas "are days of joy, hope and rejoicing."[/b]

Patriarch Theodore did not fail to mention the thousands of Cypriots from abroad who are particularly in Africa, noting that Christmas "are days of joy, hope and rejoicing. I want to convey this joy to you and tell you my experiences from my trip to South Africa where I met hundreds, thousands of our Cypriot brothers and sisters."

"I saw the young children who long for and love our Cyprus."

"I saw the young children who long for and love our Cyprus. I saw the Presidents of the Associations. And all with tears remembering their place of origin, the beautiful and blessed Cyprus. We worked. We reflected on the difficulties of going through the pandemic. They lost hundreds of loved ones. And yet, the hope in their faces exists."

And through the Cyprus News Agency, in his Christmas message, Patriarch Theodoros of Alexandria concludes: "My children, you will receive hundreds of dozens of greetings. Please accept the blessings also from a missionary Patriarch who meets Cypriots at the ends of the world, on the vast African continent. And from all I receive love and respect. They do not forget both me and the Holy High Priests for the struggle we are fighting. You have God's blessing. Shake hands with one another. Look at Bethlehem and may our hearts be warmed. For he has come to spread peace! And when the rejoicing comes near, no virus and no pandemic will be able to harm us, for yesterday and today and throughout the ages Christ will be near us. Happy New Year! Health and joy to you."
