The House of Representatives is organising a conference on the green energy transition as part of the mobilisation of all actors in the energy sector
The House of Representatives, as part of the mobilization of all actors in the energy sector in the great effort of the green transition, is organizing a conference on "Energy Transition Storage and Hydrogen Technologies" on 14 January 2022, at the Filoxenia Conference Center, from 9.00 am until 2.30 pm.
According to an announcement of the House of Representatives, the conference, which is organized on the initiative of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, Kyriakos Hatzigiannis and by decision of the Committee, will be attended either physically or online by legal and natural persons whose activities are related to the issue of energy transition.
The registration of the participants is carried out through the website of the House of Representatives.
The first part of the conference will focus on the European dimension of the energy transition and future technologies and the second part on the Cypriot dimension and the prospects for Cyprus' energy transition.
The conference will be welcomed by the President of the House of Representatives, Anita Demetriou and the EU Energy Commissioner, Kadri Simson, who, through her representative, will inform the participants about the decisions of the global leaders' summit at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, held in Glasgow in November 2021.
This will be followed by presentations by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Natasha Pilidou, and by renowned academics and representatives of institutions, stakeholders and organisations from Cyprus and Greece.
As part of the effort to present future technologies and examine the prospects of Cyprus' energy transition, during the conference, the speakers will answer questions posed by parliamentarians and participating delegates.
