At the initiative of the Pafos Hoteliers Association, a delegation of Pafos hoteliers had a meeting today with the Mayor of Pafos, Faidon Faidonos, at the Pafos Municipal Hall, according to the President of the Association, Thanos Michaelides.
In a statement to the Cyprus News Agency, Mr. Michaelides said that the meeting was aimed at informing them about the various plans that the Municipality of Pafos has for the upgrading of the tourist area of Pafos, namely Kato Pafos.
According to Mr. Michaelides, the Mayor of Pafos analyzed the various plans that have been orbited for 2022- 2023. This includes the Paphos archaeological sites, the area of Theoskepasti, the area of Poseidon Avenue, as well as the plan to create a system of breakwaters that will start from the municipal baths and end where the series of breakwaters of the Municipality of Geroskipou starts.
In addition, he continued, he and the Mayor of Paphos discussed the issue of more continuous and intensive maintenance and improvement of the existing spaces of Kato Paphos in relation to cleanliness , the landscaping of public spaces , because, as he said, these are equally important as the new plans that the Municipality has for the city.
In conclusion, Mr. Michaelides said that meetings with the Mayor of Pafos are held at regular intervals for an exchange of views and for information about the programs related to the tourist area.
